About Me

peartree
I've been into computers since before I was born. For years, I tried my best to avoid having anything to do with them, but I finally gave up and embraced computers in college. I know... I can hear the gasps. College??? Yes. Back in 'the day', there were no such things as personal computers. Period. I learned on mainframes, without monitors, but with a ton of punch-cards. I found that I had twin talents- I could program with the best of them and I could break any software around. Both of these talents, and my long history with computers of all sizes, have made me what I am today- a software-busting reviewer and writer. Oh, I have other talents, like being able to handle the hardware side of things, as well. I do love building my own systems and I get as much of a thrill out of diagnosing tough problems. I currently write for Lockergnome.
